Lianyungang is located at northeast of Jiangsu Province. It is not just a famous historical and cultural city but also a comprehensive transportation hub that sea and land transport integrated. Mountain Chestnut
The mountain chestnut, a specialty of Yuntai Mountain in Lianyungang, together with the famous “Jiu Jia Zhong” of Suzhou are both known as the most famous chestnuts in Jiangsu Province. It has a beautiful and bright appearance, with a brown shell which is round in shape.
Spicy Fried Caterpillars
Spicy Fried Caterpillars (Doudan) is a special delicacy in Guanyun County. It is the larva of the Bean Hawk Moth which has a beautiful body similar to the silkworm. The dishes made from larva meat pulp are delicious and rich in proteins. Doudan can be cooked in various forms, such as braising, making soup, etc. Among them, stir-fried is the most common way, which tastes like scrambled eggs.
