Sihong Hongze Lake Wetland Scenic Area is officially awarded as 5A tourist attractions of China, has become the highest-level scenic area in China, becoming the 25th in Jiangsu and the first 5A tourist attractions in Suqian.

a) Turn ecological advantages into development advantages to improve the construction
In recent years, Sihong has actively established the project of closed fishing season to wetlands and lakes. The scenic area is paying attention to the protection of ecological heritage, thus they insist on wetland protection and construction of scenic area must be carried on simultaneously. The wetland protection of Sihong had been award the titles of National Environmental Science Popularization Base and National Education Science Popularization Base.

The scenic area has always considered tourists’ demand, the facilities and the environment have significantly improved. They have successively constructed and upgraded external roads such as Wetland Avenue, Lihewate Bridge, and walking trails. To fulfil the tourists’ demand for food, accommodation, travel, shopping, and entertainment, they also focused on improving parking lots, visitor centres, tourist toilets, etc.
