Remember to “wear” these Yangzhou Museum cultural creative products!

A new group of cultural creations products developed by the Yangzhou Museum department of cultural and creative productions has officially launched.

These are two brooches designed based on the cultural relics of the Yangzhou Museum collection. One is the Famille Rose Porcelain Vase, and the other is “Mozhutu” (ink bamboo painting) by Zheng Xie. The frequency of these two cultural relics show is very often, and they have almost become the most famous relics in Yangzhou Museum. The two brooches designed with them as prototypes are small, exquisite, and cute. Among them, the brooch of Famille Rose Porcelain Vase is colourful, while the “Mozhutu” is elegant. Both brooches fully highlight the characteristics of cultural relics.

“The paintings and calligraphy of the “Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou” are a major feature of the Yangzhou Museum collection. The colourful porcelains also account for a large proportion of the collection. Therefore, in the development this time, we use these two types of cultural relics as the starting point,” introduced by Xia Weikai, the supervisor of the cultural creative productions department of Yangzhou Museum. The two brooches developed this time are just the beginning. Next, the series will further extend with the paintings and calligraphy of the “Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou” and the collection of porcelain as a set of cultural and creative products with unique Yangzhou Museum characteristics. The products allow the tourist to “wear” these cultural relics to farther places rather than see them only in the museum.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the number of visitors is limited. To convenient the purchase of tourists, these two brooches were launch at the official Taobao store of Yangzhou Museum.
