Explore the Wuxi Provincial Water Scenic Area

Wu Culture is usually related to water. The lucky of being born in Wuxi is because of the blessing of the Jiangnan water. Last time, we introduced seven national water scenic area in Wuxi, and today we will continue to introduce another five provincial water scenic area.

1. Yixing Jinsha Spring

Jinsha Spring Water Scenic Area located in Hufu Town, Yinan mountainous area, and is integrated with the famous Yangxian Eco-tourism Area. The current site of Jinshaquan is a small pond with stone steps remaining. The spring is crystal clear. Since Yangxian tea was listed as a tribute tea, Jinshaquan has also been listed as a tribute spring.

2. Yixing Yangshandang

 Yixing Yangshandang Water Scenic Area located at the foot of the beautiful  Yangshan Mountain. It is built on the natural landforms of “three mountains” (Yangshan, Daihuashan Mountain, Fushan Mountain) and “One Water” which is Yangshandang.

3. Yixing Yangxianhu Lake

Yangxianhu Lake, formerly known as Youche Reservoir, located in the Yangxian eco-tourism zone. It is an important water conservancy infrastructure project integrating flood control, irrigation, and water supply. In the mountainous areas of Yinan, the lakeside vegetation is rich; the bamboo forests are dense; the streams flow all day long; the negative air ions between the mountains and forests are even richer. Therefore, Hufu is known as the “natural oxygen bar” and “circles rich in oxygen”.

4. Wanma Baidang

Wanma Baidang Water Scenic Area located in Luoshe Town, Huishan District. In the past, Wanma Baidang was divided into 27 fishponds, and the capacity of flood discharge and storage is severely damaged, and floods such as waterlogging often occur during heavy flood years. To solve the problems, Luoshe Town planned scientifically, and actively promoted the fishing closed season to save the lake, then the local water environment has taken on a new look.

5. The Historic Town of Dangkou

The Historic Town Of Dangkou Water Scenic Area leaning on 10,000 mu of Ehu Lake, surrounded by rivers, stunning natural scenery, and known as the “Good Fortune Eight Lakes”.
